Lyrics

Waiting in line at the traffic light, I heard something gave me a terrible fright.

My windows rattled and my skin crawled, the other car was shaking like a leaf in a squall.

I wonder if that guy has a comatose date, or maybe some deficiency to compensate.

It seems like there should be some kind of ordinances; or is it just another one of life’s little annoyances?

I needed some things at the grocery store; it would only take a minute to get out of the door.

There were old folks everywhere like gopher turtles, reading all the labels and walking in circles.

I finally found my things and got in line, but Grandma’s checking every price trying to save a dime.

Then she found she had a problem with her finances; just another one of life’s little annoyances.

Lazing ‘round the house on Sunday afternoon, too much lunch, fell into a swoon.

I laid in the hammock to take a nap, heard a noise so shrill I nearly took a crap.

Was someone in my head trying to drill my teeth? Is this the only way to pick up leaves?

Is this the best of life’s conveniences or is it just another one of life’s little annoyances?

If you can keep your head while all about you, everybody else is turning blue.

If you can keep calm in the eye of the storm then peace of mind might just be your new norm.

I got on the airplane and took my seat; who do you think was sitting right behind me?

It was a two year-old boy with an attitude, kicking my seat and screaming the blues.

As his mama pried my fingers from around his throat she said these words in a feeble croak

This is not one of your cosmic disturbances it’s just another one of life’s little annoyances.
